Are you on the search for scary good tone? Does your spine tingle at the thought of a tone that can cut through any mix like a butcher’s knife? Do you have nightmares about muddy guitars that lack clarity and create phantom lead lines that no one can hear? Well, don’t stand there frozen by fear, we here at JHS Pedals have a pedal that gives you the tone that has long eluded your white knuckled grasp: the Haunting Mids. The Haunting Mids is a frightfully effective Sweepable-Mids EQ Preamp that can turn any amp or pedal into a ghastly monster. With it’s ability to sweep mids and then boost or scoop them, you can find the tone that haunts your imagination. The controls on the Haunting Mids are Volume, Mids, Sweep, and a Lo/Hi toggle. The Volume acts as a standard volume control to be able to set at unison or boost the signal. The Mids and Sweep controls work very closely together so you can find the perfect frequencies to boost or scoop mid frequencies. When the Mids knob is at 12 o'clock, no frequencies are boosted or scooped. Turning the Mids knob to the left of 12 o'clock will begin to scoop out midrange frequencies, while turning the Mids knob to the right of 12 o'clock will begin to boost midrange frequencies. The Sweep knob controls the what frequencies will be affected. Sweep knob to the left will cause low-mids to be affected, while Sweep knob to the right will cause hi-mids to be affected. The Lo/Hi toggle is like a "Q" function and controls how sharp the frequency peak is that you’re affecting with the Mids knob. "Lo" is a softer and wider peak for slightly subtler affect as you tweak the Mids/Sweep knobs. "Hi" is a sharper and steeper peak giving you a very pointed and defined effect as you tweak the Mids/Sweep knobs. This pedal is fantastic on an almost-breaking-up amp to send it into midrange tube driven heaven, or with an overly scooped distortion to give you the bite you need to cut through with every "djent," blues lick, rock riff, or lead line. It's also excellent for taming an overly mid-heavy amp or pedal rig. The Haunting Mids is not an overdrive pedal, it’s a Mids pedal that when paired with an overdrive, will make you scream for more of this friendly ghost. – Simple yet effective tool to boost/cut the perfect amount of midrange frequencies. – Sweepable midrange frequency to find the perfect EQ to slice through any mix. – Turn any amp or pedal into a totally different ghastly monster. – Don’t forget the Volume BOOOOOOst. So go and wake the undead with the ghostly sounds of the Haunting Mids! SPECS - Will boost +10dB with EQ flat - Total Harmonic Distortion 0.007% - Signal to noise ration 83dB - +/- 15dB boost or cut - Sweepable center frequency from 400Hz to 7.5kHz - Switchable Q (LO-gentle broad, HI-peaking tight) This pedal requires standard 9V DC Negative power, consumes 13mA, and measures 2.6"x4.8"x1.6"
From single-coil to humbucking pickups the output varies, potentially causing a nightmare when it comes to dialing in your tone with multiple guitars through the same rig. If you’re using one guitar through a complex pedalboard, your signal strength can also suffer due to cable capacitance. Enter the Level Set Buffer, a brilliant buffer pedal that lets you easily swap guitars without negatively affecting your tone. This original design features Level, Hi-Freq and Load controls to adjust the signal, along with a Main Mute footswitch for silent tuning. The tuner output lets your tuner be always on without interrupting your signal path. Put the MXR Booster Mini on your board to save space, season up your tone, and fly high above the mix.
Well known for his breakout work in the Marvelous 3, as well as production credits that include Weezer, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Ryan Adams, and many more, Butch Walker is one of the most in-demand guys in the industry. Consequently, he’s also one of our favorites. So when he let us know that he had been using JHS pedals in session after session, we knew we had to work with him. Walker primarily gravitates toward the SuperBolt for the way it responds like an amp, but also feels like it is an extension of his amp. So we shoved one right into his new Ruby Red Signature 2-in-1 Overdrive/Fuzz/Boost. Then we added a 2-stage boost that can be placed before or after the overdrive circuit, opening up everything from a clean boost to punish your amplifier to wooly fuzz tones that will dominate your mix. Walker needs one pedal that can do everything in the easiest way possible. With the Ruby Red, he has one.
The Rewolver is a multi-fonction JFET Driver. You got two Boosters in cascade (POW, POW) controlled by a Master Volume (BANG). That gives an infinite number of settings depending on which knob you choose to crank up. Turning up the Boosters give you a sweet saturation from the transistors, and the Master Volume makes the amp break up. You'll be impressed by the versatility of this small footprint pedal. Use it as a Distortion or as an Overdrive in the beginning of your effect chain, or use it as a clean boost at the end. A world of options in this pedal!
Delivering a powerful boost with just a hint of grit, the DOD BiFET Boost 410 pedal is ready to kick your guitar amplifier into overdrive. Independent volume and tone controls let you dial in the perfect amount of boost and bite. Guitarists at Sweetwater appreciate the switchable true bypassed/buffered operation, which make the BiFET Boost 410 easy to integrate anywhere in your pedalboard and signal chain. Whether you use it for subtle tone shaping or to throttle your tube amplifier, the DOD BiFET Boost 410 is a powerful tool for any guitarist.
A good booster is often the most underrated tool a guitarist can own. When placed before your overdrives or distortions, a thicker, stronger and more saturated tone can be achieved. When placed after, you get you exact tone except louder. This is great for lead passages and for causing your tube amp to naturally overdrive due to its huge amount of headroom. You will notice a slight touch of presence that lets your tone cut through the mix for those passages you want to stand out. Chords are heard with clarity and subtle harmonics shine! The Mini-Bomb MOSFET boost can do all this and at the same time only take up a 2x3” spot on your pedal board! No frills or hype, just the best little booster you can buy.
This device adds a preset amount of gain, using a single control. With a guitar, this lets you boost your signal for lead work, adjust between two different guitars with unmatched output (i.e., humbucker to single coils), or it can supply a permanent boost in a long effects chain where signal drop off is a problem. Power: Single 9-volt battery or Dunlop ECB-003 AC Adapter - Controls: Footswitch toggles amp on/bypass (red LED indicates on) Gain knob adjusts total output volume when micro amp Is engaged

MC-402 Boost/Overdrive The MC-402 Boost/Overdrive offers the combination of a simple dynamic overdrive and an independent clean boost circuit—all in one compact pedal. The overdrive section is truly "classic", adding warmth, sustain and punch, without coloring your sound. It can go from a bluesy, slightly overdriven sound to full-metal crunch with a twist of the gain knob. The MC-402 also cleans up nicely when you roll back your guitar volume, making it extremely touch sensitive and responsive to picking dynamics, without becoming thin sounding. The boost circuit alone is a bonus, as it is the exact same circuit CAE has used for years to solve a wide variety of signal conditioning problems in major guitar systems. The MC-402's high quality components provide quiet operation and trouble-free interaction with other pedals on your board. In keeping with the CAE tradition, the design is simple and straightforward, with a minimum of controls—only what is necessary to do the job.
