The 60th Anniversary AC15 is a faithful recreation of a true landmark amplifier in VOX's rich history, the EF86 equipped AC15 from 1957. The ever-evolving AC15 underwent three revisions in 1957, with the last being represented in Vox's 60th Anniversary AC15. Much of what players would come to know and love about VOX was established in 1957, including the distinct split-baffle design & iconic diamond cloth and, most significantly, the renowned chiming tone that would soon define an entire genre of music. Just like the amps of 1957, the 60th Anniversary AC15 features two distinct channels. Channel I, or Normal, offers the same rich, articulate tube tone that established the AC15 as a must-have amplifier for guitarists. Channel II, or Vib-Trem, provides players with some of the most elusive guitar tones in recorded history, the hypnotic and unmistakable vibrato of a vintage VOX. Engineered and built from the ground-up entirely in the United Kingdom, these amplifiers are completely hand-wired using only the finest available components, including authentic Celestion AlNiCo Silver speakers, which Celestion has resurrected exclusively for VOX's 60th Anniversary. Kick in the overdrive channel, and you're able to conjure inspiring British edge-of-breakup grit to tight and punchy American high gain, thanks to Blackstar's Infinite Shape Feature (ISF). And around back, you'll find two different textures of reverb and a speaker-emulated output that makes direct recording easier than ever.
In celebration of 10 years of glorious Blackstar tone, three new 10W single-ended valve amplifiers have been developed drawing on the sound and innovation of iconic Blackstar lines - Artisan, Artist and Series One. Each product is honed for home and studio use and has a wealth of features and a super cool retro look. The Artisan 10 AE is a low gain, classic crunch amp that uses an EL34 in the power amplifier and an ECC83 in the preamp stage for superlative, warm British crunch. In this model we have included a hot pre-amp Boost for authentic classic rock / indie rhythm playing and vocal Billy Gibbons inspired leads.
Played on countless hit recordings, the mid-'60s Deluxe Reverb is a timeless Fender classic and one of the most indispensable workhorse guitar amps ever made. Moderately powered and producing a full, snappy and crystalline tone, the pedal-friendly '64 Custom Deluxe Reverb carries on that legacy with incredible vintage-style tones, thanks to its modified all-tube hand-wired AB763 circuitry. Featuring Bright and Normal channels, tube-driven spring reverb and tremolo on both channels, and 20 watts of output power, this is the go-to amp for warm, clean tones and moderate breakup.
